TEXT:  EPHESIANS 4:25-30

Introduction: The Practical Reality of Theology
I. Sanctification affects our integrity of speech (v. 25)
A. Speak with no deceit
B. Speak with total truthfulness
C. Speak truth to everyone
D. Speak truth for the benefit of others

II. Sanctification affects our emotional self-control (vv. 26-27)
A. Be angry legitimately
B. Be angry righteously
C. Be angry temporarily.   D.  Be angry controllably.

III. Sanctification affects our integrity of economics (v. 28)
A. Integrity to not be a taker from others
B. Integrity to work and earn what you gain
C. Integrity to do a good job to earn your way
D. Integrity to be a giver to others with what you earn

IV. Sanctification affects our quality of speech (vv. 23a)
A. No communication that is immoral, but is godly to others
B. No communication that is perverted, but is virtuous to others
C. No communication that is worthless, but is helpful to others
D. No communication that is unwholesome, but encourages others
E. No communication that is unhelpful, but ministers grace to others

V. Sanctification affects our ability to glorify God (v. 30a)
A. Our behaviors can grieve the Holy Spirit of God
B. Our behaviors can glorify the Holy Spirit of God (I Corinthians 10:31; I Peter 4:11; Colossians 3:17,23

Sanctification is a lifelong journey, not a destination.
