God Always Keeps His Covenants

We live in a time when many are turning against the nation of Israel. Sadly, even among churches that call themselves biblical churches, Bible believing churches, even a few fundamental independent Baptist churches, there are churches who are following the teaching of replacement theology in the idea that the church today replaces the promises to the nation of Israel in the future events. If that is true, then God’s covenants are not permanent and God is not a covenant keeping God. But thankfully, God is faithful to His Word and to His covenants with man. When God made the promise not to destroy the world with a flood again in Genesis 9, He declared His promise to be an everlasting covenant. When God established His covenant with Abram for His people Israel, He declared it was an everlasting covenant in Genesis 17:19, and God has not changed on His promise. Salvation is a covenant promise from God to man and God declares His Salvation of man through the blood of Jesus Christ is an everlasting covenant from Him to man. Marriage is to be a covenant relationship between a man and a woman in which God intends to be kept permanent by them to each other. Sadly, too many humans are not willing to keep that covenant relationship with each other as well as God keeps His covenants with man.

When God says something in His Word, He will do it and fulfill it to the detail for His glory. Since Jesus promised that He will come again and receive His believers to be with Him in Heaven, then that is exactly what He is going to do and we can depend on Him fulfilling it. When God declared His people Israel would be renewed as a nation, then we could depend on Him doing that and He did complete that promise on May 14, 1948. Each declaration in the Word of God about the future of God’s people Israel and His blessing on them will be fulfilled on behalf of Israel.
