God has been very good to us all. The fact that we are here today in this country, living in this beautiful part of this free nation, sitting in this comfortable building, clothed in the fine clothes each of us have worn today, with bellies comfortably satisfied, with a Bible that we own in our hands in God’s house to worship God in the name of Jesus openly and publicly means we are better off than most of the people in the world today. We owe many of these wonderful blessings from God to those who helped to found our nation on biblical principles that they heard in some of the churches that were faithful to God’s Word in the colonies of their day. The checks and balances of powers to where no one person could easily become a dictator and tyrant over our nation was an idea that came to one of our founding fathers after visiting a church on a Sunday evening and seeing how they conducted a ministry administration meeting of the church, from what I have read. Our founding fathers wrote the Declaration of Independence and signed it knowing that they were pledging their life and honor to something that they most likely would not see to its fullness, but their future families would enjoy the benefit of. That is what was so amazing; they knew the cost would be great to themselves immediately, but the reward would be incredible to others in the future. Most of them did lose their homes and their material wealth during the battle for freedom from the crown of Great Britain and some lost their lives. But they were willing to make those sacrifices for the future benefit of the people who would be the citizens of this land of liberty that would become the United States of America. Today, we have people who are influencing the public of our nation and the children of our nation to hate what America stands for, which is freedom and liberty. These are biblical principles that motivated our founding fathers to build the framework of our Constitutional Republic form of government that was unique in its day to all other nations. This is the root of why those that hate our nation do so; at its core, America represents freedom and liberty. They also hate God and His truth found in the Bible. There are some in our nation who want to change the core tenants of our form of government and there are too many people who do not understand that because they don’t understand our nation well and they are allowing themselves to be used as pawns to help try to change our nation. We need more honorable men and women today who will have the courage to see the future and are willing to make personal sacrifices in order to be a benefit to others in the future. This is not only true for our nation; it is also true for our church. It is up to the adults in any church to make personal sacrifices now for the benefit of others in the future. We sacrifice our time in service to minister in ministry and to work in caring for the property, but we also make sacrifices financially to build and maintain buildings and property that will benefit others in the future far more than ourselves. We need to do our part now for the sake of those who will come after us to be blessed of God, because we blessed God in our obedience now.
