Truth About Their Security in Salvation     TEXT:  John 3:16

Introduction: The goal of this lesson is to help the new believer understand the Bible Doctrine of the Eternal Security of the Believer so they can have confidence as a child of God through faith in Jesus Christ. This is an encouraging truth to the new believer in their faith in the Lord and their relationship with their Creator. Our goal is to help them grow further in their appreciation to God for the great gift of Salvation that they have received. We want to help them grow closer to the Lord and stronger in their faith. We also want to help them continue learning truth from God’s Word by reading it and studying it together to help them grow to do it on their own in the future so they can keep growing in their faith in the Lord personally. We want to help firm up their faith in realizing the greatness of God’s love for them and the duration of their relationship with Him.

I. The length of God’s Salvation to you.
A. The believer in Jesus Christ will never perish eternally in Hell
B. The Salvation we have received by faith in Christ is everlasting life (John 5:24; 6:40, 47; Romans 6:20-23)
C. Christ took God’s wrath on sin for us forever in His death on the cross (John 3:36; Romans 1:18)
1. The requirement is for God’s Salvation (Romans 6:17; Ephesians 5:6; I Peter 2:24; Isaiah 53:5-6, 8, 10-11)
2. The possession of the believer in Christ (John 5:24-26; I John 5:9-13)
3. The deliverance the believer has received from God in Christ (Romans 5:11; Colossians 1:12-14; I Thessalonians 1:10)
