I. Jesus fulfilled the witness of John (vv. 30-33)
A. Jesus did the will of the Father as His messenger (v. 30)
B. John came to prepare the way for God’s messenger (vv. 31-32; Malachi 3:1)
C. John came as a witness of Jesus’ coming (v. 33; Mark 1:2-3; John 1:6-7; 1:29-34)
II. Jesus fulfilled the witness of God the Father (vv. 34-37)
A. Jesus communicated God’s message of eternal life (vv. 34-35
B. Jesus came to bring God’s eternal life to mankind (v. 36)
C. Jesus fulfilled the witness of God in Old Testament prophecies (v. 37)
III. Jesus fulfilled the witness of the Scriptures (vv. 38-40)
A. Having God’s Word in you has to do with faith (v. 38)
B. God’s Word gives us the truth of God’s eternal life through His Son (v. 39)

IV. Jesus fulfilled the witness of Moses (vv. 41-47
A. Jesus’ validation is from God the Father (v. 41)
B. God’s love is available to us only in Christ (v. 42)
C. We choose to believe who and what we will believe (vv. 43-44)
D. The Word of God is the source of our judgement of truth (v. 45)
