TEXT:  EPHESIANS 1:15-23

INTRODUCTION:  COLOSSIANS 3:23; 1 CORINTHIANS 10:31; EPHESIANS 3:21; 1:22-23

1. The testimony of this church:
   1. Their faith in the Lord Jesus
      1. The faith they exercised for Salvation
      2. The faith they grew in for Sanctification
      3. The faith they obeyed in glorifying God
   2. Their love displayed unto all the saints
      1. It was visible for all to see
      2. It was evident for all to realize
      3. It was clearly proclaimed by those who benefitted
   3. Their cause of thanksgiving in Paul
2. The prayer for this church
   1. God the Father would give them what only He can offer:
      1. Wisdom
      2. Knowledge
      3. Understanding
   2. God the Father would enable them to know His Will
      1. The hope of their calling
      2. The riches of their inheritance
      3. The greatness of His power
   3. God the Father exalted God the Son back to His eternal place
      1. John 17:4-5
      2. Philippians 2:9-11
      3. Philippians 3:8-11
3. The greatest need for any church
   1. God has put all things under Christ
   2. God has put Christ as the head over all things in His church
   3. God has put Christ as the One who must fill all things in His church
      1. For them to work to is glory
      2. For them to be effective in hearts
      3. For them to impact eternity positively
   4. God has put Christ as the key to our bringing glory to God
      1. As we truly worship God in Christ
      2. As we truly call on His name in saving faith
      3. As we truly yield to His Spirit in Christ
      4. As we truly grow deeper in our love from Him & for Him
      5. As we understand, experience & comprehend the love of Christ more.
