AM: Triumphant in Christ

Text: II Corinthians 2:12-17

The Key to being triumphant in Christ is obedience to Him.

  1. Obedience allows us to triumph in Christ.  Vs 12,13
    1. Paul obeyed God in “going”.  See also Acts 16:5-11; Matthew 28:18-20; Mark 16:15,16; Luke 24:46-49; John 20:21-23; Acts 1:8; Romans 10:13-18
    2. Paul obeyed God in “proclaiming”
    3. Paul obeyed by utilizing the opportunity God gave
    4. Paul obeyed God even when he was personally dissapointed
  2. God causes believers in Christ to triumph in Christ.  Vs 14-16
    1. We need to thank God for the victory we have by faith in Christ
    2. We need to make what we have in Christ know in every place
    3. We need to honor God because of the victory we have in Christ
  3. Faithfulness to God’s Word enables us to triumph in Christ. V. 17
    1. Not corrupting God’s Word in our presentation of it
    2. Speaking God’w Word truly and clearly a God’s Word
    3. Submitting to God in our speaking of His Word
