Text: II Corinthians 5: 5-10

Stop working against the working of the Holy Spirit.

1. God gives His children His Spirit to help us live here on earth   II Corinthians 5: 5-10
   1. When we received Him   Ephesians 1:12-14
      1. After hearing the Word of truth
      2. After believing the truth of the Gospel
      3. After trusting the person for the Gospel as your Saviour
      4. Every born-again believer in Jesus Christ was sealed by God as His child by His Spirit.
   2. Why we need Him
      1. He helps us with understanding.  John 14: 26, 27; 16:12-13; I Corinthians 2: 6-16
      2. He helps us with conviction  John 16:7-11
         1. Conviction:
            1. Of our need of Salvation and God’s righteousness in our lives
            2. To avoid sin as God’s child
            3. Of how God wants us to live righteously
      3. He helps us with prayer support  Romans 8:26-29
      4. He helps us with guidance in the Will   John 16:12-13; Romans 8: 26-29
      5. He helps us in fulfilling His Will   Matthew 28:18-20; Acts 1:8
