TEXT: Leviticus 23:4-18
Introduction:
* God’s call to Moses to be used to deliver His people from Egypt–Exodus 3:14-15
* God’s call to His people to establish the Passover of deliverance–Exodus 12:12-20; I Corinthians 15:20-23

I. Celebrating the giving of God’s Word (Leviticus 23:15-22; Exodus 34:22; Deuteronomy 16:10)
A. The giving of God’s Law was written by God’s finger (Exodus 31:18)
B. The giving of God’s Word was inspired by God to man (Genesis 15:1, 4; Exodus
6:10, 13; II Timothy 3:16-17; II Peter 1:20-21; Revelation 1:11; Deuteronomy 4:2, 12:32; Matthew 15:6-9)
C. The giving of God’s Gospel was brought to us by God’s Son (John 12:49; 10:18; 14:10; 15:14)

II. Celebrating the giving of God’s Spirit
A. Jesus promised God would send His people another Comforter (John 14:16)
B. Jesus said to wait for the Promise of the Father to come to them (Acts 1:4-11)
C. Jesus’ followers benefitted from His Promise fulfilled by obedience (Acts 1:14-15; Acts 2:1-13)

III. Celebrating the giving of God’s blessings (Psalm 33)
A. The Pilgrims came to this new land relying on God for His blessings
B. Our Founding Fathers relied on God for His blessings
C. We as the citizens of this great experiment of our Constitutional Republic must still rely on God for His blessings (II Chronicles 7:14)
