I. Jesus declared the Prophecy of His sacrifice for sin (vv. 57-61)

1. What was said about Him (vv. 57-61; Mark 14:58; Deuteronomy 19:15; Matthew 27:40; Mark 15:29)
2. What Jesus actually said (John 2:13-22; Matthew 27:62-66)
3. What Jesus said in other places (Matthew 12:40; Mark 8:31)

II. Jesus experienced the Prophecies of the Old Testament (vv. 62-68)

1. He answered them nothing (Psalm 38:12-14)
2. He held His peace (Isaiah 53:7; Acts 8:32)
3. He did not react to the attacks on Himself

1. The wicked did their part (Isaiah 53:3-5, Psalm 22:12-18)
2. Jesus did His part (Isaiah 53:9, 12)
3. Are we doing our part (I Peter 2:22-24)

III. Jesus fulfilled the Prophecies about His coming (vv. 64-65)

1. His first coming to the earth for redemption (v. 64; Isaiah 53:10-12)
2. His second coming for believers in the clouds first (vv. 64c-65; John 14:1-7; Acts 1:9-12; I Thessalonians 4:13-18)
3. His second coming to the earth to rule and reign and judge
