I. God gives us His Word to benefit from in this life Deuteronomy 30:11-14
- It is communicated by Him to us (v. 11)
- It is communicated by Him clearly to us (v. 11-13)
- It is communicated by Him to us to work in our hearts (v. 14)
- It is communicated by Him to us so we can obey it (v. 14)
II. God gives us a will and the opportunity to express it individually Deuteronomy 30:15
- He sets real options before us to choose from
- He gives us opportunities to choose everyday
- He gives us outcome potentials of the choices we make
III. God gives us instructions about how we should express our will Deuteronomy 30:16
- In order to love God truly as our God
- In order to obey God’s commands to His children
- In order to experience God’s help in our lives as His children
IV. God gives us a warning about how we express our will Deuteronomy 30:17-18
- The consequences of expressing our will in a sinful way (v. 17)
- The consequences of expressing our will in a rebellious way (v. 17)
- The consequences of expressing our will in a way God cannot bless (v. 18)
V. God gives us an explanation of the impact in how we express our will (v. 19)
- We will be accountable to God for our choices
- We will be accountable to God for the results of our choices
- We will be accountable to God for the influence of our choices on others
