TEXT:  LUKE 10-25-37

I. Compassion helps us not be proud or disrespectful      Luke 10:25-29

1. This man was not seeking help from Jesus    (vv. 25-26)
2. This man was correct in His knowledge of truth    (vv. 27-28)
3. This man was not right with God in his heart    (v. 29)

II. Compassion helps us care for others over ourselves      Luke 10:30-35

1. Compassion causes us to help others not harm them (v. 30)
2. Compassion causes us to care for others not ignore them (vv. 31-32)
3. Compassion causes us to meet needs of others regardless of who (vv. 33-35)

III. Compassion helps us be neighborly      Luke 10:36-37

1. The question Jesus asked (v. 36)
2. The answer this man gave (v. 37)
3. The command Jesus gives (v. 37)
