Text: Daniel 3

• Introduction:
  • God’s people have been facing uncertain times all along in different ways
  • God’s people have been faced with faith challenges in our pagan world all along
  • God’s people must decide personally how they follow God in the face of opposition
  • God’s people need mutual support of each other as they face faith challenges together
  • I know God can do what I need, but even if He does not, He is still my source of hope

1. Deep faith helps us in undercertain times    Daniel 1
   1. These boys were isolated from their families
   2. These boys were separated from their support network  –  See also Romans 8:31-39
   3. These boys were inundated with false teachings (for 3 years)
2. Deep faith strengthens us in times of challenge     Daniel 3
   1. Deep faith enables us to stand firmly in our faith            Daniel 3:1-12
   2. Deep faith enables us to stand confidently in our faith   Daniel 3:13-19
      1. They were confident in their God, not in their future
      2. They were confident in their God, not in their own ability
      3. They were confident in what they knew about their God
   3. Deep faith enables us to stand faithfully in our faith    Daniel 3:16-18
3. Deep faith causes us to trust God no matter what      Daniel 3:19-30
   1. Deep faith helps us to be a testimony to others
   2. Deep faith helps us to experience God’s sufficiency
   3. Deep faith helps us to enjoy the victory of the Lord
   4. Deep faith helps us to bring God the Glory He deserves.

• Let faith guide us – not fear
