June 2, 2024     TEXT:  DEUTERONOMY 6:1-25

1. It starts with parents honoring the Lord.  Deut. 6:1-3
   1. Honoring the Lord by listening to Him & His Word.
   2. Honoring the Lord by obeying His Word & His Will.
   3. Honoring the Lord by glorifying Him in His blessings.
2. It starts with parents setting a godly example.  Deut. 6:4-9
   1. Parents who believe in the One True God.
   2. Parents who love the Lord God Almighty.
   3. Parents who believe God’s Word is true.
   4. Parents who diligently explain God’s Word.
   5. Parents who prioritize God’s Word.
3. It starts with parents being blessed of God.  Deut. 6:10-19
   1. Blessed of God for remembering His goodness
   2. Blessed of God for being faithful to Him.
   3. Blessed of God for being obedient to Him.
   4. Blessed of God for trusting in Him.
4. It starts with parents teaching God’s truth to children.  Deut. 6:20-25
   1. Answering questions with biblical truth
   2. Sharing the truth of God’s Word accurately.
   3. Declaring the commands of God to those coming up.
