1. Sacrifice comes from a heart of gratitude.
   1. Sacrifice = something of value – Psalm 107:21,22; Hebrews 13:15
2. Sacrifice is an act of worship
   1. Matthew 2:1,2,10,11
3. Sacrifice creates an after-effect!  John 12:3,5,6
   1. Judas’ response is negative
   2. The house being filled with the fragrance was a positive response
4. 3 levels of giving:
   1. Tithing
   2. Offering
   3. Sacrificial
      1. Mary’s gift was extravagant – approximately the value of one year’s salary
      2. The “widow” gave all she had in Mark 12:42
      3. God gave the best sacrificial gift of all – Jesus, His Son!

Matthew 6:21 – where your heart is, your treasure is also!

Judas had a selfish heart; Mary had a sacrificial heart.
