C. Dangers of man’s complacency
II. These are days of much of man’s religion (vv. 5-7)
A. The growth of cults
B. The increase of knowing information
1. Knowing the Gospel doesn’t make you born again
2. Knowing Bible truth doesn’t make you free from sin
C. The advancement of secular worship
1. The worship of the creation over the Creator (Rom. 1:18-32)
2. The worship of man’s ways over God’s Word (Rev. 3:14-22)
3. The worship of secularism, removing God from daily life
III. These are days of great opposition to God’s truth (vv. 8-9)
A. Resisting truth (v. 8a; Exodus 7:8-12, 15-22; 8:5-8, 16-19)
B. Corrupted minds (v. 8b; Genesis 6:11-12; Deut. 4:16, 25; 31:29; Psalm 53:1; II Corinthians 2:17; Ephesians 4:22; I Timothy 6:5)
C. Reprobated faith (v. 9a; Romans 1:28; Titus 1:16; Matthew 7:21-23; I John 2:18-20)
D. Manifested foolishness (v. 9b)
