A. God sent His Son to us to rescue us from sin (v. 15a; John 1:11-13; 3:16; I John 3:8; 4:9; Romans 5:8-10; I John 3:16; Romans 8:32)
B. Jesus the King of kings and Lord of lords (v. 15b; Luke 1:52; Acts 8:27; Philippians 2:6-8; II Corinthians 8:9; Luke 19:10; Mark 10:45)
C. The Saviour who alone can give eternal life (v. 16)
1. He only can give us immortality because He is immortal
2. He is the Holy One who can give us His holiness
3. He who is to be honored eternally has everlasting power to give us everlasting life (John 1:4-5, 9-10; 3:15; 3:36)
