TEXT:  Luke 4:1-15

I. Jesus served in the power of the Spirit (v. 14a)
A. He served in doing the will of the Father in the power of the Spirit
B. He ministered in people’s lives in the power of the Spirit
C. He travelled to the places that the Father wanted Him to go in the power of the Spirit

II. Jesus enjoyed the presence of the Spirit with Him (v. 14b)
A. He had the presence of the Spirit to aid Him in the work of God
B. He had the presence of the Spirit to join Him in the ministry God gave to Him
C. He had the presence of the Spirit to bless Him in the mission He was given to fulfill

III. Jesus taught the Scripture with the Spirit working (v. 15a)
A. He taught the truth that God had given Him in the power of the Spirit
B. He taught the people in the house of worship in the power of the Spirit
C. He taught the Scriptures to those who gathered in the power of the Spirit

IV. Jesus was glorified in the power of the Spirit (v. 15b)
A. The Spirit helps us glorify Jesus today by guiding us to trust in Him as Saviour
B. The Spirit helps us glorify Jesus today by witnessing to others about Him as Saviour
C. The Spirit helps us glorify Jesus today by serving in His work on earth in His power
