WED: “Paul’s Prayer for God’s Glory”

Text:  Ephesians 3:14-21

  • Introduction:
    • This church of young believers would not be discouraged by Paul’s suffering
    • This church of young believers would keep growing in their faith
    • This church of young believers would experience the purpose of God in saving them
  1. The Posture of prayer     Ephesians 3:14
    1. Personal humility     “I bow”
    2. Personal submission     “My knees”
    3. Personal relationship     “Unto the Father”
  2. The persons of prayer     Ephesians 3:14-15
    1. I pray myself personally
    2. I pray unto God the Father
    3. I pray in the name of our Lord Jesus christ
  3. The petitions of prayer     Ephesians 3:16-21
    1. God’s Spirit would strengthen them
    2. God’s Son would be real to them
    3. God’s satisfaction would make them complete
    4. God’s supply would enable them to bring Him glory
