God’s Glory

Our Greatest Motivation for All Things

I. Glorifying God (v. 31)
A. In every part of our life honoring Him (Proverbs 3:6; Colossians 3:17, 23)
B. In our obedience to His will for our life (I Peter 4:11)
1. Obedience to His will according to His Word
2. Obedience to His will according to His power working in us
3. Obedience to His will according to His Son being our Saviour as His follower
C. In bringing others to Him to be saved
1. By loving God as our Heavenly Father openly before others
2. By loving Jesus so much we talk about Him (Philippians 2:1)
3. By His resurrection life being lived in us to draw people to Him (I Peter 1:21)
4. By communicating hope through faith in Chrit

II. Blessing others (v. 32)
A. By seeking not to offend them
B. By seeking to favor them
1. As I speak to them
2. As I relate to them
3. As I witness to them
C. By seeking to win them (I Thessalonians 2:4)

III. Profiting many (v. 33)
A. By sharing God’s Gospel with them (Mark 1:14-15; Acts 20:24; Romans 1:1, 16; 15:16; II Cor. 11:7; I Thess. 2:8-9; I Timothy 1:11; I Peter 4:17)
B. By sharing God’s truth with them (Hebrews 4:12-13; Romans 10:17)
1. Not arguing or debating, but speaking truth in love
2. Not becoming angry and aggressive, but inviting and encouraging
3. Not trying to manipulate or pressure, just letting God’s Word work on their heart by sharing it and explaining it to them

C. By sharing God’s love with them (John 3:16; Ephesians 2:4-5)
