TEXT:  II Timothy 4:1-8

I. Faithfulness before God with His Word (vv. 1-2)
A. A challenge of proof before God (v. 1a)
B. A challenge to prepare for judgment day (v. 1b)
C. A challenge to proclaim God’s Word faithfully (v. 2)
1. Stand faithfully on the accuracy of God’s Word (v. 2a)
2. Stand faithfully on the efficacy of God’s Word (v. 2b; II Tim. 3:16)

II. Faithfulness to honor God not man (vv. 3-4)
A. The time has come when many are not enduring sound teaching (v. 3a)
B. The time has come when many are not seeking convicting preaching (v. 3b)
C. The time has come when many are not wanting to hear God’s truth (v. 4)

III. Faithfulness to the ministry God has given you (v. 5)
A. Attend faithfully to what God has commanded (v. 5a)
B. Endure faithfully the difficulties of affliction and opposition (v. 5b)
C. Proclaim faithfully the Gospel to the lost (v. 5c)
D. Fulfill faithfully the ministry God has called you to do (v. 5d)

IV. Faithfulness until the end of life (vv. 6-8)
A. Readiness by remaining faithful through your life (v. 6)
B. Finish your course of life by being faithful to God (v. 7a)
C. Remain faithful to the faith once delivered with God’s help (v. 7b)
D. Prepare for a good accountability to the Lord daily (v. 8)
