AM: “The Availability of Being Rooted in His Wisdom”

Text:  Proverbs 8:1-36

  1. Wisdom & Understanding are available to whosoever     Proverbs 8:1-5
    1. Wisdom cries out openly to whoever will listen
    2. Understanding is put forth to any who will hear
    3. Wisdom is declared anywhere and everywhere randomly to all
    4. Wisdom is addressed to “O men,”    Deuteronomy 18:19;  Mark 8:34;  Luke 6:47;  Revelation 22:17
    5. Wisdom is to the simple and the foolish so that they can change
  2. Wisdom & Understanding are offered the same to all      Proverbs 8:6-13
    1. Wisdom & Understanding are the same to everyone because they are from the same One
    2. Wisdom & Understanding are the same to everyone in that they must be received willfully    I Thess. 2:13
    3. Wisdom & Understanding offer the same benefits to everyone who will receive them
      1. They enable us to be all we should be  V. 12
      2. They enable us to honor God  V. 13
  3. Wisdom & Understanding are from the Lord, and He offers them to whosoever     Proverbs 8:14-31
    1. Wisdom & Understanding offer us God’s input on how to function in life
    2. Wisdom & Understanding offer us God’s blessings to enrich life as we live it  (as we are attached to His wisdom and following His ways
    3. Wisdom & Understanding offer us God’s guidance (and future fruitfulness) in living the best life possible
    4. Wisdom & Understanding offer us God’s understanding about everything
  4. Wisdom & Understanding are the key to living the blessed life with the Lord     Proverbs 8:32-36
    1. God’s blessings are attached to obeying His ways
    2. God’s instruction and wisdom bring God’s blessings
    3. God’s daily blessings are connected to receiving His wisdom daily
    4. God’s favor is attached to living life God’s way
    5. God’s judgment is attached to rejecting God’s wisdom in living life your own way

Conclusion:  Choose Christ and follow Him   Ephesians 1:6-14
