TEXT: Genesis 3-12

I. God promised His provision for our sin (Genesis 3)
A. God provided for man’s sin when sin began
1. Sin began when man listened to Satan over God
2. Sin began when man submitted to their desires over God’s will
3. Sin began when man allowed the temptation of our flesh to entice us to disobey God (James 1:13-18)

B. God provided for man’s need when man needed it
C. God provided for man’s eternal need when man chose to sin
1. Sinning against God’s Word is a choice we make
2. Continuing in sin apart from God is a choice we make
3. Benefitting from God’s provision for sin is a choice we make to receive

II. God’s promise is kept through His Word (Genesis 4-11)
A. Cain destroyed Abel, but God provided Seth
B. God destroyed creation because of sin, but God extended grace to Noah
C. The line of Noah continued to struggle in obedience to God, but God called Abram

III. God’s promise was given to Abram for all the world (Genesis 12)
A. God invited Abram to trust Him as his forefathers had (vv. 1-2)
B. God invited Abram to walk with Him in faith as his forefathers had (vv. 2-3)
C. God invited Abram to enter into a relationship of obedience with Him (vv. 4-6)
D. God invited Abram to enter into a relationship of worship with Him (vv. 7-9)
