AM: “GOD’S WORD MOTIVATES GOD’S CHILDREN TO REVIVAL”

TEXT: EZRA 5

  1. God’s Word must be communicated to work     Ezra 5:1-3
    1. God communicated it to us by inspiration
      1. God gave His prophets His prophecy        Haggai 1; Zechariah 1
      2. God gave us His inspired Word through His holy recorders     2 Peter 1:16-21
      3. God gave us His completed Word through His people     1 Timothy 3:14-16
    2. We communicate it to others by proclamation     Psalm 145:5; 1 Corinthians 4:1-2; 2 Corinthians 5:17-20; 1 Peter 4:10-11
    3. Each person responds personally to it being proclaimed
  2. God’s people need to be committed to God’s Will     Ezra 5:4-5
    1. We need to keep our eyes on the Lord
    2. We need to remember God’s eyes are on us
    3. We need to fear the Lord over man     Psalm 29:25-26;  Hebrews 13:5-6;  Psalm 56:3-4, 9-13; 118:4-17
  3. God’s people should be confident in obeying God’s Will     Ezra 5:6-17
    1. When we are revived in the Will of God, Satan renews his hindrances
    2. When we are obeying God’s Will, we have nothing to worry about
      1. God is always at work even if we do not realize it
      2. God is always at work even if we do not see it
      3. God is always at work even if we do not believe it
    3. When we are trusting in the Lord, He is working His will out in us
