The unanimous Declaration of the thirteen United States of America,
When in the Course of human events, it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another, and to assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature’s God entitle them, a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the separation.
I. God is the Creator of all the universe (Daniel 4:1-3)
A. He is the cause of creation (Psalm 33:6-9)
B. He is supreme over creation (Psalm 33:10-12)
C. He is Lord over creation (Psalm 33:13-17)
D. He is the deliverer of creation (Psalm 33:18-22)
II. God is the Sovereign over all the universe (Daniel 4:4-18)
A. God can work how He chooses to work (vs. 17; Psalm 22:28-31)
B. God can speak through He chooses to speak
1. God spoke through His obedient servant (Daniel 2:19-21, 28)
2. God spoke through the pagan king (Daniel 4:8-9, 18, 37)
3. God speaks through His creation (Psalm 19:1-6; Numbers 22:22-33; Luke 19:40)
4. God will not violate Himself or His Word in what He does
III. God is the Judge for all in the universe
A. He can humble those He chooses to humble (Daniel 4:28-33)
B. He can raise up those He chooses to raise up (Daniel 4:34-37; 2:37)
C. He is no respecter of persons in His righteous judgements (Deuteronomy 10:17-18; II Chronicles 19:7; Job 34:19; Romans 2:11)
