TEXT: Ezekiel 11
I. The Spirit of God leads the child of God in the will of God (vv. 1-13)
A. In going where God wants you to go (v. 1)
B. In doing what God wants you to do (vv. 2-4)
1. To stand against the wickedness of our day
2. To work against the self-serving attitude of our day
3. To speak against the unbiblical living of our day
C. In saying what God wants you to say (vv. 5-13)
1. He motivates us to speak the message of God to others who need to hear it
2. He challenges us to proclaim to truth of God about our sinfulness
3. He prompts us to warn about the judgement of God coming
II. The Spirit of God is essential in God’s redemptive work (vv. 14-20)
A. The Holy Spirit uses the Word of God to show us our need of God (vv. 14-15)
B. The Holy Spirit of God helps us see the hope we can have in God (vv. 16-17)
C. The Holy Spirit of God is who makes us new by trusting in God fully (vv. 18-20)
III. The Spirit of God is instrumental in giving God’s children hope (vv. 21-25)
A. There is no lasting hope in lesser things than the true God (v. 21)
B. There is only eternal hope in the glory of God being in our life (vv. 22-23)
C. There is only hope when the Spirit of God helps us see God’s truth (vv. 24-25)
1. We find hope when we see the things that God shows us
2. We find hope when we see the things from His perspective
3. We find hope when we see things in light of eternity
