As we get older in age, most of us need the help of corrective lenses to see clearly. The days of 20/20 vision leave most of us as the effects of aging begin to take their toll on our optic lenses. For those who are truly following Christ, we need the Lord’s help for us to have His vision on our world. We need the corrective help of His love, His Word, and His Spirit to enable us to see clearly the need of the lost souls here in our own valley and unto the uttermost part of the earth. If we are going to help lost people come to know Jesus as their personal Saviour, we must share the Gospel with them and release the power of the Gospel; we must get it out to those who need to hear it. The Gospel is “the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth;” according to Romans 1:9, so we cannot keep it from those who are not saved. We need to see the lost souls at home and abroad as the Lord sees them. We need to let His Word and His Spirit help our vision be clear and accurate unto the uttermost part of the earth. I am thankful that any person, regardless of how far they have gone into sin, who will listen to the Gospel it can work a work of faith to salvation. I am thankful that nothing is too hard for God, and there are no lost causes with whom to share the Gospel in humanity. Just ask the thief on the cross, King David, the Apostle Paul, the woman caught in adultery, or even Rahab. Each of these people were affected deeply by very heinous sins that were very damaging to others, but they repented because of the power of the truth of who God is and what He made possible for them in forgiveness. Our Saviour is not only able to save lost souls unto the uttermost part of the earth, but also able to save sinners unto the uttermost sinfulness. If any lost soul can and will listen to the Gospel, it can work a work of conviction in their heart to convict them of their sinful condition. If the Gospel gets into their heart and mind, it has the ability to convince them of their sinfulness and their inability to fix their condition on their own. The Gospel is able to convince them of their need of God’s only solution for their sinfulness in the person of His Son, Jesus Christ, and who He is and what He has done for them in redemption. The Gospel is able to compel them and motivate them to put their faith in Jesus as their Saviour. Our part in the plan of God is to live out our faith in front of the lost we are around, express our faith verbally to anyone who will listen, and give financially and prayerfully to get the Gospel and witnesses to other places in the world.
