Praise to the Lord

The Lord blessed us this week in many wonderful ways. I am so thankful that we were able to have Vacation Bible School this year. I am so thankful that our children’s ministries are back up and running. I am thankful for all of the people who took part in the work of the ministry this week for Vacation Bible School. We had a great team of servants who did a wonderful job ministering to a wonderful group of children. God blessed with our promotion and outreach for Bible school with several coming from receiving a flier at the Imbler July 4 Parade, and several were reached online as well. We reached around ten new families who took part in the ministry of Summerville Baptist Church for the first time. I was so blessed to go out several times to meet new families and give them an invitation to come out and visit our services. I was very blessed to have several people who served in Bible School who had never been part of this kind of ministry before. It was great seeing people step up to serve and even be flexible to make adjustments in where they were serving. We had a high attendance day of 53 children on Wednesday and saw new children come with friends almost every day. This week children heard the Word of God every day, learned new songs that exalt God for His greatness, and many memorized Scripture to help them know truth more. I am thankful for a church that is willing to invest in the future generations in supporting the children’s ministries of this church financially, prayerfully, and with their time. This is the clearly stated will of our Saviour and the emphatic instruction of God’s Word. I am thankful for every person in this church who is willing to use their time, energy, and abilities to reach children with the truths of God’s Word to make an eternal difference in their lives and a godly difference in the future of our nation, our churches, and our families. If you are not using your gifts and abilities for God’s glory in the ministry of the Lord in His church, let me encourage you to get busy and begin getting ready for accountability day.
