Our Amazing God is Doing Amazing Things

Psalm 118:21-24

  • I will praise thee: for thou hast heard me, and art become my salvation.
  • The stone which the builders refused is become the head stone of the corner.
  • This is the LORD’S doing; it is marvellous in our eyes.
  • This is the day which the LORD hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.

When God does something instead of man, He receives the glory for it. When God accomplishes something, it is far greater than anything that man can achieve on our own. When God works it is eternal, whereas when man works it is, at best, temporal. When God does what only He can do, He alone will be praised for it. When things are obvious that God has done what only He can do, then it is amazing, marvelous, awesome, and even miraculous. When things are unexplainable and they defy human understanding, it is clearly God that is the one behind it. Only God can create, and we are still discovering new things about His creation on a regular basis. Only God can paint the beauty of a sunrise or a sunset. Only God can save a sinner from their sins and give them a home in Heaven. Only God can transform a heart and a life for all of eternity so that life has an eternally positive impact on the lives of other people. The joy that God can bring to our lives is far greater than anything we can achieve or experience on our own and anything that anyone else can cause for you. I am thankful that God has clearly accomplished things in our presence, in many of our lives, and in biblical churches all over the world. It is exciting to see God continue to meet our needs and enable us to meet needs of others to His glory. We are seeing God open up doors of opportunity for us to walk through by faith and watch Him work to His glory from this place. This week, I have been blessed by things that God has been doing from the services in His church here last Sunday, and I am praising Him for doing what only He can do in the hearts of people. It has been exciting to see God open opportunities for us to minister to people that we have never met, and God is allowing us to minister in their lives. I am thankful to know that God is doing great things all over the world, and we have the opportunity to be a part in many different ways, in many different places, in what God is doing. We have seen God answer prayers for His glory in some amazing ways, for which I am thankful for as His child and as His servant. If you are not excited about what God is doing all around you, let me encourage you get involved and engaged and informed. Be at the worship services where things are being shared. Take part in ministries where you can be part of what God is doing. Invest yourself in the work of God so you can experience firsthand seeing God do what only He can do for His glory and for the good of those around you. We have an awesome God, and He is doing amazing things all over the world. We can be excited that we can be part of what He is doing if we will be engaged in doing His will here on earth.
