Isaiah 61:11 “For as the earth bringeth forth her bud, and as the garden causeth the things that are sown in it
to spring forth; so the Lord GOD will cause righteousness and praise to spring forth before all the nations.”
Spring is coming, my favorite time of the year, and I am looking forward to the new buds and green grass.
What a great picture of the newness of life (spiritual life) that the Lord causes when we call on Him. Our snow
is melting quickly, but there is still a good 8” in the shaded areas of our yard. Soon the tamarack will be
budding new ferns, Debbie’s favorite thing to watch for in the early spring. She says the new buds look like
little paint brushes.
Debbie is currently in San Diego visiting her parents. This is a visit that is long overdue, with the covid shut
downs and travel advisories over the past year that have hindered travel to California. Please pray for her
parents as they are aging, it’s not as easy for them as it was in their younger years and now having to dealing
with new health struggles. We all will be traveling to central California next week so the ladies can attend our
oldest daughter’s baby shower, her first, due in May. Her husband is the youth pastor at Cathey’s Valley
As for our ministry, we currently have no plans for travel overseas. We had been working on a trip to Japan
this summer, but those plans have changed. We are content being where the Lord wants us and leads us to,
and being home and serving where we can is a good place to be. I recently had the opportunity
to share the gospel with a gentleman while out doing visitation. This gentleman started by
agreeing that he could go to heaven because he was better than most, oh what a predicament he
is in – just the same predicament the world is in. He didn’t accept the Lord in prayer then, but a
seed has been planted, pray that it will grow and work in his heart to change that predicament.
We watch the news on international travel, the foreign travel restrictions, and new covid shot
and testing requirements and just glad we are not having to deal with that right now. We pray
for those missionaries who are caught up in that and for those who are locked out of their countries.
This is a picture of my grandson clearing our walkway of snow… just had to share!
