We humans have many challenges when it comes to the matter of abiding satisfied. Our world and our lives in this world are filled with disappointments on a regular basis. Add onto that our own challenges with learning to be content with the disappointments we face. And if that was not enough, we also deal with unmet expectations which creates even more disappointment. Sometimes, to make matters worse, we build ourselves up for disappointment by manufacturing unrealistic expectations that will not be met that leads to further dissatisfaction. God can help us with this issue, just like He is able to solve every other issue in our lives. Today, we are looking at the cause and effect that leads us toward abiding satisfied. God has made Himself available to us so we can be part of His family and enjoy His help in our lives. He has given us His inspired, recorded, preserved Word, the Bible, to help us grow closer to Him and know Him more to benefit with His help in our lives. He has given us His Spirit to live in His children to help us grow and mature in our faith so we can learn the matter of contentment in this life. He has also instructed us to wait on Him in order to get our expectation as stated in Psalm 62:5, so He can help us have them met more often so we enjoy more abiding satisfied in life. How we live life has everything to do with how we enjoy life. How we live life has everything to do with how we experience the blessings of God on and in our life. How we live life has everything to do with abiding satisfied in life. 2020 was a year filled with many disappointments for us all; however, if we trust in the Lord and let Him do His work His way then we can find satisfaction in what He does for His glory. Tonight, we will take time to see the things that God did in His church this past year and find satisfaction in Him bringing Himself the glory He deserves. I hope you will be here to praise the Lord with me.
